IOS 14 code reveal 120Hz refresh rate Information

Whether the iPhone 12 series has a refresh rate of 120 Hz is undoubtedly the focus of all, and now it seems that more evidence indicates that Apple can add this new feature. According to a screenshot of the iOS 14 internal code posted on Twitter by foreign blogger @blue_kanikama, information about the frequency of 120 Hz appeared, and it seems to be an internal diagnostic program for testing, mainly used to scan and determine if the device uses 120 Hz Display.

Of course, it is too early to conclude that the iPhone 12 series will support a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The information that appears this time may also be related to the sampling rate when touching 120 Hz of the iPhone 11 series or iPhone XS series, but on the other hand. This may indicate that Apple is indeed developing a new iPhone with a 120 Hz display.

This is confirmed by Apple's official commercial.

Today Apple will host an event for WWDC 2020 developers, where one important hardware announcement and lots of software is expected - iPadOS 14, as well as new versions of WatchOS and macOS. But the most important premiere is the appearance of the iPhone 14 operating system instead of iOS. If at first, it was hard to believe in such rumors, then after the iPhone OS commercial appeared on the Web, all doubts simply disappear.

The video was posted on its Twitter page by well-known insider Max Weinbach. Actually, he was one of the first who announced the possible renaming of iOS to iPhoneOS.

X60 baseband has passed Apple test

In response to a report that the Taiwanese Electronic Times reported that the iPhone 12 series could be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 baseband chip, more and more people are now appearing in the industry.

@冷希Dev gave more claims that the 5G baseband chip, codenamed X60, has successfully passed a series of final tests of Apple's performance, power consumption, heat dissipation, noise interference, electromagnetic waves and so on. Although it is not clear whether it will be used on the iPhone 12 series, other netizens gave a positive response, claiming that Apple redesigned it in April this year and should debut on the high-end version.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 baseband chip is also reportedly using a 5 nm process. This will be the world's first 5G modem and radiofrequency system that supports the aggregation of all major frequency bands and combinations, including millimeter waves, as well as FDD and TDD bands below 6 GHz. According to Qualcomm's official information, the Snapdragon X60 will be selected and tested in the first quarter of this year.

iPhone 12 comes with a 4G version. Apple can be launched

It is worth noting that in a recent investment report, Daniel Ives analyst at Wedbush Securities also said that there is also a version of the iPhone 12 for iPhone 4G, which is mainly used to help Apple lower the price. Although the authenticity of the news needs to be confirmed, in early June, some network users reported that a new iPhone appeared in the factory that only supports 4G networks. The borders that are currently being produced are similar to the iPhone 5, which means the iPhone 12 series. When updating 5G technology in all directions, it can save the 4G version in the younger version.

However, given that the iPhone 12 series is only at the stage of verification of the DVT project, most of the information presented now may not be the final development scheme, but the good news is that with the weakening epidemic, the supply chain has become normal in production and storage that may not affect the official release of the new iPhone.
